We met Tippy Tippens, creator of Matter L3C and the Bird Project, through SENO (Social Entrepreneurs of New Orleans) this summer and fell in love with her spirit and savvy cause-oriented goods. Our team donated web design services thanks to our >GOOD Initiative and partnered up with talented New Orleans web programmer Dixon Lin, on the development of the ecommerce site that is helping her birdies and future goods take flight and land in the home of consumers across the globe. Visit Matter L3C now and check out our blog for more info what an L3C is and how Tippy used Kickstarter to launch her Bird Project.

ORLANDO, Fla. (August 16, 2011) – Local branding & marketing agency, FDG {creative}, videographer/photographer JonPaulDouglass, and musician Matthew Heafy have created a collaborative entry in the Urban Land Institute’s “Why I Love ULI” video contest.
The 1:23 minute video depicts appreciation for all the Urban Land Institute does for “The City Beautiful” by featuring FDG friends, clients, and special guest star, Mayor Buddy Dyer, in a fun and refreshing montage “loving” Orlando landmarks and monuments including the new Amway Center, Church Street Station, City Hall, a LYMMO stop, Lake Eola, and the Downtown Orlando Visitors Center.
Visit http://www.facebook.com/WhyILoveULI to watch the video. To cast your vote, first “LIKE” ULI’s contest page, then scroll to Stephanie Darden’s entry submission posted on August 9th, and “LIKE” the video. The entry with the most “LIKES” wins a one-year Urban Land Institute membership and an all expense-paid trip to ULI’s Fall meeting and Urban Land Expo in Los Angeles.
“We decided to illustrate how we can love and appreciate the real and tangible results of ULI’s work in the City of Orlando,” said Stephanie Darden. “As the last line of the video states, ULI brings together professionals who, by sharing knowledge, make the cities we love even better.”
Other featured “guest stars” include Jeff Forest, owner of Winter Park Construction; Jeffery Bush of HKS Architects, and Jay Berlinsky, principle at SC Advisors.
